Hand-carved stone sculpture.

The Sundial explores time through one of its earliest measuring forms using stone as both material and meaning.

Designed to interact with light and shadow, the work connects natural cycles with human attempts to mark and understand time.

Balancing function and sculptural presence, the piece retains the weight and permanence of carved stone while remaining legible and purposeful.

Surface texture and tool marks are left visible, reinforcing the hand-carved process and the material’s relationship to weathering and age.

Carved entirely by hand, The Sundial is conceived as a singular object rather than part of a series.
